Generally, the climate of Xiamen is mild. The average annual temperature is about 21ºC. Sunshine is abundant. Even in the winter months the temperature rarely falls below 10ºC, although there may be a cold wind chill.

You can visit Xiamen at any time except for August, when all the boats along the coast stop cruising. Also July-September is typhoon season which is probably worth missing.
