Quanzhou boasts a diverse and distinctive traditional culture including the renowned Southern Music, puppet theatres and Quanzhou martial arts. As it is the original hometown of many Taiwanese you will find both places share a lot of traditions: the Gaojia Opera and the Liyuan Opera, for example, are also popular in Quanzhou.
